Analytical Methods in Statistics

Liberec, Czech Republic, September 16-19, 2019

The Workshop follows-up successful AMISTAT's 2011 and 2015

It is an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and to discuss on the solved and unsolved problems of mathematical statistics, among others concerning the subjects:

  • Fisher information
  • Parameter and function estimation
  • Distances, norms and optimality in statistics and econometrics
  • Shape problems and shape restrictions
  • Generalized linear models
  • Signal plus noise models
  • Stochastic inequalities
  • Asymptotics versus non-asymptotics
  • and other related subjects of your current interest

Final program is available here.

Book of abstracts with detailed program is available here.

Keynote and invited speakers:

  • Pranab K. Sen (University of North Carolina): Hadamard Differentiability of certain statistical functionals with applications to Arsenic Contamination Problems
  • Marc Hallin (Université Libre de Bruxelles): Center-Outward R-Estimation for Semiparametric VARMA Models
  • Ursula U. Müller (Texas A&M University): Estimating the response density in semiparemetric regression
  • Ivan Mizera (University of Alberta): Analytic properties of nonparametric maximum likelihood and related estimators
  • Roger Koenker (University College London): Minimalist G-Modeling: Empirical Bayes Methods for Mixture Models
  • Lev Klebanov (Charles University in Prague): Outliers and Heavy Tailness

A special issue of the journal Applications of Mathematics devoted to AMISTAT will be published. Its Impact Factor is 0.897. Also, a book of peer-reviewed contributions from the workshop will be published in the Springer series "Springer Proceedings in Mathematics & Statistics". See instructions for authors here.
